This shhipping container home project consists of 2 floors . The ground floor was made with 3 containers of 40 feet and one of 20 feet, and the first floor with five 20-feet containers . The ground floor has a bathroom , a kitchen, a living room and a very peculiar study. The first floor consists of 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms.
The jewel of the house is the natural pool that is surrounding the house, which merges with the studio on the ground floor through a small indoor water garden, a peculiar and original detail of quality . The ground floor has several vandal gates , wich with the containers give an industrial look to the house, but making it highly secure and hardly penetrable.
Upstairs a linear border created with wooden planks surrounds the perimeter, it’s a sun protection function for the bedroom windows . There is a garret on the first floor forming the sloping roof of the house, this easies the fluence of the rainwater and improves the thermal insulation on the top floor , a nice touch considering shipping containers have a considerably heat absorption if they are exposed to the sunlight.
The access to the upper floor is through a spiral staircase to reduce the occupied space. There are also numerous balconies in the house and its distribution is quite heterogeneous .
