Jim poteet Architects have transformed a blue container in this fantastic guest house in San Antonio , Texas. The container has been completely transformed and guarantees the same comforts of a traditional home.
The message of sustainability applied to this property is evident, vegetation covers the roof full of plants and flowers, and the exterior container look alike has been left as-is so you can see that the house comes from a recycled shipping container.
One of the sides has a large window, also the entrance has a huge sliding door to facilitate the contact with the outside and the ventilation. At the entrance we also see a porch where we can relax when there’s good weather .
At the end of the container there’s a bathroom with a shower, and also there’s a sink which can be adapted as a circumstantial kitchen locating a microwave.
A blue awnings protect the house from the sun and the rain water, also have their own lighting. The bathroom is a W. C. and a shower all in the same space , although both can be separated with a curtain .
