Haw Slawik has built its Home Box with shipping containers , due to their ability to transport, its universal dimensions and also the hight utility , however , the transport , repair and maintenance of the metallic materials is a little bit expensive. Slawik wanted to create a concept of housing using the best of the cargotecture , but he wanted also to make it easily modificable, more efficient and more comfortable for the residents .
Homebox has the same dimensions as the standard shipping container , but has been designed vertically instead of horizontally.
The Homebox has 3 floors, a kitchen with a dining room and bathroom on the ground floor, a bedroom on the first floor and the second lounge. At the top floor you can find the most private space and also the most enlightened. The house has 150ft2 of living space , it’s small, this is due because one quarter of the space is always occupied by the stairs, to go up $ down over the different levels.
Despite the disadvantages due to its small size, it also brings a few advantages thanks to this dimensions, it can be transported very easily and with trucks of standard size, plus it fits in very small spaces, you osnt need to have a very big terrain to install it, they can be installed together in very large spaces to create mini-cities .
The Homebox concept ii’s designed for just a couple, it’s an incredible study.
