Using 7 recycled containers, the architect Bernard Morin and his wife Joyce Labelle have build this contemporary house in Sant Adele , Quebec. The house is the first of a series of shipping container homes that will be build by the new company, Maison Idekit, which help customers to convert containers into unique pieces of architecture . The company has 2 other residential projects currently working on, which will be realized in the next months using 12 marine containers.
The first container house from IDEKIT has 3.000ft2 with 4 bedrooms . It costs about 175,000 dollars all the construction. It is curious that these container houses , rather than outwardly display their true origin , this only happens into the inside, you can even see the serial numbers of the shipping containers inside the house. Outside, the house is insulated with a thick 5″ ( 12.5cm ) isolation, and a wooden coat end.
