The company Meka builds modular homes thanks to the use of the shipping containers. We have already spoken on this blog about this company, but this time we are going to focus on of its container house models, the Hela 1280.

The house is built with 4 containers of 40 feet each, 2 placed above and the other 2 below, building a 2-story housing, and with the upper floor displaced slightly to make room for a terrace on the top floor and a porch below.

The entire house is covered with wood and perfectly isolated, and its approximate building cost is $ 215,000, excluding the roof, the foundation and the assembly cost. Adding all these costs the total is $ 247,000

In this picture we can see the assembly process of the house, in this case it also includes a garage made of concrete as an extra.

On the ground floor of the house there is a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom; and at the top there are 2 double bedrooms, a small study and a complete bathroom. But much better if you take a look to the plans of the house.
