In Thailand, in the heart of Bangkok, you can find the Wanderer Hub Hostel, an accommodation low cost center built using shipping containers. It’s the first one that you can find in Thailand and it has a very close access to the “Skytrain” so it will allow you to visit every corner of Bangkok easily.
As you can see in the pictures the Hostel is built entirely of shipping containers, all placed anarchically and painted of different colors to give to the guests the cool air that they searching to connect with their customers, most of them uninhibited young people who are passing through the city.
Thanks to the Thai mild clima, they hardly have had to isolate the containers, basically for a weather like this the most important is to cover the metallic materials from the sun, because they can reach very high temperatures.
The Hostel has a chill-out area with a kitchen where you can watch movies and sports. Many furniture used are also from recycled origin, like the containers.
Outside you can enjoy the outdoor areas where you can meet other backpackers.
There are also separated toilets by sex, pinks and blues differ the dependencies. The recycled materials are so present, even the walls of the latrines are made with the surplus metal sheets from the containers.
