The “Island of paper” was a few years ago an island just dedicated to the storage of paper, but that changed after it was decided to terminate the contract with the contractor. After that the government decided to give another use to the island, inviting to fill it with creative ideas for a period of time.
That was how the food market currently actually tooks place on the island, where recycled items dress this environment of 25,000 square meters. Shipping containers and pallets create small restaurants and furniture for the market, in order to carry out its functions. There’s a total of 35 restaurants, which serve especially organic and local food at popular prices.
